The purpose of the Boosters is to promote the development and continuation of superior band programs in the Oconee County School System and to help provide excellent musical opportunities for students in the school system and for members of the community.
The OCHS Band Program (Marching, Jazz, Ensemble, Concert) has lost a good bit of revenue as a result of Covid-19 and the cancellation of many of our primary fundraisers. The OCHS Band Booster program helps cover the cost of:
- Band Uniforms
- Instruments-purchase and maintenance
- Equipment-purchase and maintenance
- Music fees (licensing etc)
- Competition entries
- Clinicians and supplemental instructors
- Band trailer-maintenance, gas, upkeep
